Mr. Black desires about 7 chains of this line formed, to get to a building site on. part of his property. A road here would be very steep being of a grade of about 1 in G. To form this 12 to 14 feet in width, and with a light coating of gravel would cost somewhere about £7O. Access Oliiwa Block.—l have run a trial grade from the Ruatuna Road through Sections 125 and 126 to the ridge near Humphry’s house. The line is somewhat crooked, being a length of about 85 chains. The steepest grade would be 1 in 10. A rough estimate of the cost for a road formed 14 feet in width but not 'metalled would be £l,ooo'. Fencing Coast Road.-v-I have seen the resident engineer,- PAY.D., in
