YOUNG FARMERS CLUB

YEAR’S PROGRAMME ARRANGED SEVERAL NEW MEMBERS The management committee of the Opotiki (Young Farmers’ Club met last week to set out the programme for the ensuing twelve months and a very interesting programme lias been decidled upon Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. F.iric Thompson and 'Gilbert Murray, and S'. Cooper. The local club have decided to, participate in the Bay of Plenty District Young Farmers’ Court at the forthcoming Waikato Winter Show in Hamilton, and also in a similar effort at the Whakatane Winter Show. Correspondence dealing with a proposed Young Farmers’ Club tour to take place shortly was discussed, several names being submitted. A special effort is being made to increase the honorary membership of the club, the club’s appreciation of those who have allied themselves with the club being expressed by the exccddive. „ “ 31-essrs/G. Bennett and B. Gilmore were apfiointecl. club delegates to the forthcoming■ prSKncial meeting of the Bay of Plenty Farmers’ Union to be held at Fldgecumbe. This has been made possible through the invitation extended* ,by the local branch of the Fa r i norJptrnio 11 . The following were admitted to club membership: Messrs. Ik H. Stuart, G. Gafnmie, s£'. Kelly, Les. Abbot, 31. Young, A. Bcaufoy and It. Atistis. Arrangements have been finalised for the bolding of a. Field Day at 3lr. Cl F.i. Bennett’s poultry farm on the second 31omllay in 31 ay.
