Edwards, left Gisborne on Wednesday morning on a tour' of inspection of tlio Bay .of Plenty police stations. * * * * * * * Passengers by Union Airways airlinen- on Wednesday included Mr. N. Shalfoc;n from Auckland to Opotiki and Air. W. R. Castle from Opotiki to Gisborne. Passengers from Auckland to Opotiki this morning were Mrs. Mravich and Mr. Martin, while Mrs. Ward travelled from Tauranga to Opotiki. Passengers to-morrow include Mrs, Hendry and Messrs. J. O’Sullivan and A. Crenien from Opotiki to Auckland. ATHLETIC CLUB’S DANCE The Athletic Club’s dance which was held in the Woodlands Hall on Wednesday night drew a large attendance and was highly successful. The dance music was supplied by Roy Parkes and bis Rhythm Boys, while an extra- was played by Miss K. Jeplison. Novelty dances were, won by Miss N. Hickey and Mr. T. Collins and Miss "M. Grover and Air. S. Thompson. During an interval, Air. C. Tabb, president of the club, presented trophies won during the seas,on. Among those present were: — Airs. 0. Tabb, Airs. H. Parkinson, Airs.
