WOMAN DRIVER SHOT

WOUNDED BY POLICE COLERAINE, X. Ireland, Eeb. 16. —Mrs. Violet Dalzell, aged 35, a schoolteacher, was shot in the thigh by a patrol of tbe “B!” special constabulary to-day. She was hailed by tlie patrol as .she was driving home, but did not hear and drove on. Three shots were fired. The car swerved and stopped. This is the third, time the special patrols, mobilised to counter I.R.A. activities, have acted on their orders to shoot at any car which fails to, step when challenged. Mirs.
