WELCOME TO MINISTER
A welcome social was tendered to Mr. and Mrs. Ait-wood and family last evening at the Methodist Church, on the occasion of Mr. Attwood’s appointment to the charge of the Opotiki Methodist Church Circuit. A large number was present and! the chair wax occupied by Mr. W. N. Rowe. The speakers included, Capt. Kirkpatrick (S'. A.), Rev. A. C. Hampton (Presbyterian Church), Mrs. Jackson, Master I. Grant and the Rev. Hunt (Tauranga), who expressed their good wishes to Mr. Attwood and family for ai successful .and hap-, py sojourn iii Opotiki. Musical: items were given bv Mr. Cecil Drury, accompanied by Mrs. Drury, and Airs. Bbdman, accompanied by Airs,, T. G,. Johnson, these being much appreciated.. Rev. Attwood, in reply, expressed appreciation on behalf of himself andi family for - the very hearty welcome given.' A dainty supper concluded a most evening. : ”• V
