Broken Bats
Although (in , the lace of things there was nothing unusual about the action of a junior cricket team in Wellington in declaring its innings closed when over -100 runs were made for the loss .of half a dozen wickets, the innings was closed for a.very good andi sufficient reason. Forceiuhiess in making took heavy toll of the. bats' on hand, and it was because all the ,side’s bats had been broken that the innings was ended.
