C. W. Gibson at a meeting qf the L.C.C. The Council approved draft by-laws to tighten up the control of emplovmeut agencies for theatrical and other artists to prevent them being, used to cover up white slave operations. Mr. Gibson also said that it was to bo regretted that the Home Office had declined to institute a Government inquiry into the. whole question of employmen agencies. If the council could noV get them abolished and State exchanges introduced in their place they should do everything possible .to tighten regulations.
