FOURTH ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW 862 ENTRIES RECEIVED (News Correspondent.) . The fourth annual flower show was held in the Waimana Hall last Thursday, by the. Wainiana-Nukuhou Women's .Institute. The function was a crowning success in every way. The flowers and vegetables were well grown and of fine quality. The cooking and sewing exhibits were all very good, also the jams- and preserves. The number of entries received was 862 as against nearly 700 at the previous show. The number of entries received would have been welcome at . many city flower'shows and reflects great credit on the residents of the AVaiinana cliisti’ict. ' -

The challenge cup donated by F. J. Savage and Sons, tor annual competition for most points won by. any competitor throughout the show, was won by Airs. T: W. .Wardlaw. The winner for 1938, Airs.
