CiFT PARTY FOR BRIDE ELECT A most- pleasant afternoon was spent at the home of Airs. Alottram, NukuliO'ti North, last Tuesday; the guest of honour being Aliss Georgina Spanhake who is to be married shortly. The afternoon was spent with competitions and social chat. A hidden parcel was found by Aliss A. Burnett, dock golf was won by Miss At. Doran, while Mrs. V. Miller was the winner of darts and Mrs. Burnett of quoits. After a dainty tea had been served Airs. Alottram presented Aliss Spanhale,e with a bouquet of dahlias, and Airs. Jerram, on behalf of those present and the lady golf members, asked the guest of honour to accept a cheque with their best wishes for her future life. Aliss Spanhake suitably replied, thanking all, and especially Airs. Alottram, for the pleasant afternoon. Among those; present were : Airs. Spanhake, Mrs. Alottram, Airs. 1. Savage, Airs. HEALTH AND BEAUTY CLUB DANCE A jolly dance organised by members "of tile Health and Beauty Class was held in Woodlands Hall on Wednesday night. A large and enthusiastic band of dancers enjoyed a happy evening in dancing to music supplied! by Roy Park os and his Rhythm Roys and ji popular extra'was played by Mrs. 1C J. 'Bennett. The duties of 31. C. were ably carried out by All’. A. G. Stevenson. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McCullough were the successful dancers in a novelty competition dance. Refreshing cool drinks were served during the evening apd a very dainty supper was also served. Dancing continued until the early hours. Among those present were:— Mrs. R.
