MOON LIGHT FUN FAIR

SUCCESSFUL CHURCH FUNCTION An exceptionally enjoyable and successful c-vening was held at the \ iearage grounds on Friday night on the occasion of the Moonlight Tun Fair. The lawns were gaily lit ivitli coloured lamps and Hood-light, and presented a, charming scene. Competitions and games or all kinds progressed throughout the evening and a. delicious supper was served at a moderate charge. The various stalls did brisk business and altogether the evening was voted by all present to lie a. social as well as a financial success. As a result of this splendid effort by Mrs. W. Sinton who organised the function and a willing hand oL untiling workers. the funds ol St. Stephen’s Church will benefit substantially and to the organiser and her helpers, great credit is due. •Those, who participated were: Alesdames Steptoe, J. Hughes, J. .Mansell and Melville who were in charge of the Cafeteria Supper Stall ; Misses Harrison. P. Ingram and M. Anderson who conducted the Sweet Stall and Mrs. A. Davey in charge of the Vegetable Stall. Those in charge of the popular games and competitions were as follows:—Air. Jack Sankev (Art Gallery;, Miss K. Anderson (Clock Golf), Miss V. Burton (Quoits). Mr. G. Anderson (Guessing the Circumference of a Hoop), Mr. G. Salt (Tin Bowl Game), Mr. -Mooney (Nail Driving), Mr. E. Salt (Shooting Gallery) and Miss D. Burton (Bag Game).
