Ltd. reports as follows on the fortnightly pig sale held in the Opotiki saleyards : We had) a full yarding of pigs in all classes, with the exception of weaners and small slips. Competition was keen throughout, 1 heavy baconers and light porkers showing an advance on. late rates. Prices realised were :

Heavy prime baconers, £3 8s to £3 12,5; lighter prime baconers, £3 2s to £3 7s; heavy porkers, £2 13s to £2 18s; light porkers, £2 5s to £2 12s heavy stores, 37s to £2 ss;. small stores, 26s to '32s; good slips, 27s to 28s fid; smaller sorts, £1 to £1 4s - choppers, £2 to £3 2s. 1 Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report as follows: A large yarding of all classes of pigs came forward and prices, licitwithstanding the fall in most schedules remained on a par with last sale and in some instances were even better than previous sales. The top price paid was £4 for a* large overweight baconcr and top weight made to £3 13s; others, £3 Os to £3 12s; lighter, £3. 3s to £3 8s; light baconers, £2 18s to £3 2s; porkers, heavy, to £2* 16s; lighter, £2 8s to £2 12s; unfinished, £1 19s to £2 fis ; large stores made to £2 11s; others, 35s to £2 10s; slips, to 325; weaners, 5s to £l.
