Miss J. Dolan and Miss G. Bryant,- . of Auckland', liave returned to their homes after a holiday spent in Opotiki as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Maxwell, Woodlands. ******* Miss Joyce Wylde, of Auckland, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Wylde. ******** * Mr T. A. Moodde, superintendent for New Zealand for Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Mr. H. N. Eiby, manager gf the Auckland branch of the Companv, and Mr. H. D. Cooper, manager of the Napier branch, recently visited the Opotiki sub-branch. ******* Mr. and Mrs. M. Grant of Wellsford. North Auckland, and Mr. and Mrs. Broadwcod of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs. Grant, Woodlands. WOODLANDS’ SCHOOL FUNCTION A jolly social function organised by the members of the Woodlands School •Committee to aid school funds, was held in the Woodlands Hall on Wednesday night. A very happy evening was spent- by all present, an excellent programme of music being supplied by Mr. J. Mannix. Duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr. Stavely. Ml*, and Mrs. W . Lambert and Miss Ml. .Minihern partnered by 31 r. J. King were the winners of novelty dances. A dainty supper was served by the ladies and dancing was continued. Among those present were:— Mrs. S.
