Miss Nola Drake who has has also been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Drake, Te Halm, returned to Te Kuiti to-day. • ****** * Mr. lan Simpson, of Fraser Road, Hawera, paid a: short visit to Opotiki in the course of a motor tour of the North Island. While in Opotiki lie ■was the guest of his brother, Mr. Hugh G. Simpson. ******* Mrs. and Mr. T. Garland (Lnclc Tom of 1 Z.R.) were recent visitors to Opotiki en route to Gisborne. They will spend a few days in Opotiki on their return to Auckland and will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. ParLinsun, Waioeka Road.

DANCE AT WOODLANDS A large and enthusiastic band of dancers greeted Lauri- J’addi and lus band, when in the course of a tour, they played at a dance held in the Woodlands Hall on -Monday night. A popular programme of dances was played, several numbers being sung by the members of the band. Dancing was enjoyed until the early hours. Among those present were:— Mrs. P. Matthews, Mrs. F.
