A SURPRISE PARTY A Nurprino' party hmuigod by the mejnbcrs oil' the Citizens’ Bowling Club wus taken to- tbo homo of Mr. and Mrs. T. 0. Johnson last evening, in honour of Miss N. Johnson, on tbo oeeaaion ol her forthcoming marriage to Mr. Tim Hodman. A most enjoyable time was spent in competitions amt games, Miss N. Johnson being the lucky winner of a guessing competition. Just before supper was served, Mis K ! . Burton oill behalf of the ladies i,»i the club, asked Miss Jobnson to accept the various gilts and wished both .Miss Jobnson and Mr. Hodman the best of luck for the future. Mr. Hodman thanked all for their very kind thoughts, and expressed lus delight and surprise at their coming hlnng to make such an enjoyable evening.
Many very useful and beantilul gifts were displayed on the. opening of tin 1 pa reels. Alter supper had been served, Mr. G. 'l.ysnght delighted all with two humorous dialogues, and a duet by Miss Johnson and Mr. Hodman and a solo by Miss Jobnson also proved popular. The evening concluded about midnight with the singing of “Cor They are Jolly Good E'eHows” and cheers to the prospective bride and bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. Those present were:— Mrs. T.
