OBITUARY
THOMAS ALEXANDER PRATT The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr. Thomas Alexander Pratt, aged: (j(3. at the home of his brother. Mr. W. Pratt, Waiocka Gorge. Deceased had been in indifferent health lor many years. The funeral took place at the Opotiki cemetery to-day. LATE! MR. JOHNNIE WALKER The funeral of the late Mr. J. Walker, who died at Opotiki on Sunday, took place at To JKnihai yesterday afternoon, there being a very large number present-. The service was conducted by the Rev. Cl G. G. Salt-, who was assisted by Timu Tinm Tawhai. thelatter reading the service in Maori. About 50 Returned Soildiers attended the funeral, many being from Opotiki. Deceased, who ' served in the Groat War, was a member of the Maori Pioneer Battalion. Air. Johnnie "Walker was horn at To Kalin, his father being the late Mr. James Walker, who married a wellconnected woman of the Ngatiporou tribe. Airs.
