TOURNAMENT AT OPOTIKI The following rinks took part in an all-day picnic tournament during the weelyend on the Opotiki Citizens’ Bowling Club’s green. Members of c-luhs from all over the Bay of Plenty were present. Showery conditions prevailed, making play unpleasant and far from ideal. 1 1. Hunt, B. Moody, Foster, J. Moody, 2 wins, 5 losses. Longley, Heggie, Jamieson, Palmer, 1 win, 4 losses. A. Jephson, Griffiths, Crawford, Frew. 2 wins, 3 losses. Clark, Craig, Bnrtcn, JLvidd, 4 wins. 1 loss. Guthrie, Henderson, Littlejohn, Jamieson, 3 wins, 2 losses. I'ninent, Alexander, Wilson, Peebles, 4 wins, 1 loss. Black, Orchard, Curragh, Loanc,-2 wins, 2 losses. Miller, Burnett, Stevens, Borrie, 4 wins, 2 losses. Hickey, Shaw, Tabb, Jephson, 1 win, 4 losses. Jamieson. Howat and Mitchell tied in Section A. In the play-off Jamieson beat Howat and .Mitchell. In Section Ti, Borrie, Kidd and Peebles tied and in the play-off Bcrrie won the section. After a. very keen contest, Borrie’s rink was successful in the final.
