MONTHLY MEETING i The monthly meet ing ol the W .!).!'. 1. was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday last when Mrs. Martin presided. The meeting opened with the* reading (J i' the Creed followed hy Hie reading ol the minutes ol the previous meeting. the new members were welcomed and further new memhers were proposed. A letter ol thanks | irom the (Hand Institute was read for a donation sent. Christmas greetings | were read from Mr. A. G. Hultquist M.P. and Mrs. Hultquist. The Hull i Cal!. “Recipe for Cold Pudding” brought- forth some helpful suggestions. A demonstration on daisy work, I was given hy Mrs. (>. S. J‘ox. Ihe ! [lower competition for the host bloom resulted in Mrs. Shalloon and Mrs. rs'ewth gaining first place with Mrs. Martin and Mrs. McGregor second and' Mrs. Hill third. -Mrs l''*w arranged a competition of which Mrs. ' Dain was the winner, and another competition aranged hy Mrs. McCullough "’as won hy Miss A. Mack, {[risk business was done at the sales table. Hostesses lor the alternoon were Mrs. Pennell and Mr. Webl, and to them and to the chair, a vote ol Ia V thanks was accorded. An afternoon / will he held at M'rs. Martin’s resi- / deuce next month.
