robbery in lift LONDON, Aug. 21.—A thief stole 0800 in notes from the trousers pocket ef K. Russell, seventy-oue-year-old retired business man, as he was alighting from a lift at the Northern Trust Company’s office in Chicago. Mr. Russell remembers that as the lift doors opened he tripped, hut was saved from a fall by a polite young stranger.
