WAIMAXA-iNUICL'HUU 'There was a very good attendance of members and visitors at the monthly meeting of the Waimamb-Nukuliou branch of the Women’s institute, held in the W’aimniia Hall on Wednesday afternoon. -Mrs. I*'. .)• Savage presided. Following tin* institute song, the usual routine business was transacted. The day being “International Day’’ readings on peaee and. famous women, were given bv Mrs. C. Wylde and Mrs \Y. M,vC'otinell jnr. The roll call was “M.v Oldest Possession”. The articles were on view and were most interesting. -Members of the institute Dice Club rendered National choruses o! several countries, the items being much appreciated. Tim day’s competitions were: Dress costing not more than os, Mrs Mnnniou 1, -Mrs Mcivur 2, Mrs. F. Bell -'.l. Arrowroot Sponge: Mrs. I. M • Wardlaw I. Mrs. Hewitt 2 and Best Flower: -Mrs. H. Bell !., Mrs. Black 2. Mrs. I. Savage !L A competition ai ranged, by -Mis. King was won by -Vers. Hewitt. -V dainty tea Was served In the hostesses Airs. King. Airs. Joint Addison. Mrs. I'j. Addison.
