TO THE EDITOR
CHORAL SOCIETY’S CONCERT Sir.—l agree with you that the recent Choral Society’s Concert was a very excellent production and the local artists under Professor Burycr deserve the, highest commendation. Each item was delightfully rendered, and could not but ieel impressed with the fact that wo have vocal talent in Opotiki quite equal to that in any part of the Dominion. The careful training of the voices particularly in the choral numbers reflected great credit to the conductor, .Professor Puryer, and the whole programme- from the commencement to tlie end was a treat. That the audience was not large was most regrettable, it must lie very disappointing to those who have not spared themselves to provide an enjoyable entertainment to find their ctlorts not fully appreciated. Aly chief object in writing is to appeal to all to show by their presence at future choral conceits that they do appreciate the very excellent efforts oi the local society for the entertainment of listeners. Tliev deserve -it. WELL WISHER.
