The hall was , papked with guests from far and near, and all enjoyed the evening at dancing to the music of the Ivit Kat orchestra and an enjoyable extra was played by Miss Jeanette Grover. Air. E. Backhouse capably acted as AI.CThe Monte C arlo Waltz was won by Miss K. Walton and partner. During the evening Mr. M. Burke contributed two much appreciated songs, entitled. “Tell Me To-night,” and “Blue Hawaii”. Mr. CL Boyle gave humorous recitations, which received great applause. A dainty supper was served by the ladies and the birthday cake made and donated by Airs. X. Macdonald was prettily iced and two candles burned upon it. Airs. A\ oollield cut the cake. After supper, Air. R. Fleming, in wellchosen words, wished the young I armors a happy birthday and every success in the future and also presented certificates of merit to the successful competitors in a pasture competition, Afr. L. Alacdonald gaining first place and Messrs. Woolfield Bros, second place. Mr. Fleming also apologised for the absence of Air. McCracken. The president of the Y.F.C., Air. H. White, then welcomed all guests and hoped all would have a pleasant time. Air. Woolfield, on behalf of the guests, "thanked the young farmers for the most enjoyable, evening and congratulated them on their second birthday, and representatives from other Y.F. * clubs also spoke of their appreciation and wished the young farmers every success in the future.
