1 he monthly meeting of the AY.C.T.I F. was he I'd on Thursday alternooh. Mrs. R. Sinclair presided over a good, attendance. Mrs- Kirkpatrick gave uninspiring talk and Bible reading. .Mrs. Sinclair mentioned the high standard oi the essays read at the Band of Hope written in the District High School, and said thanks were due to Air. de Montalk. Prize-winners were: .Misses J. Clark and AY. Harrison;. Masters K. and AY. Holmes. Mrs. Sinclair then spoke on prayer and said they were nearing a crisis on tilings that- mat-ter-y ed. and prayer would help many a opal who was now indifferent, to think toll others on Saturday. She said that many homes wore wrecked ay ;;troi)g drink and that crowds of young people now are heading for disaster- The meeting then took the form oi earnest intercessory prayer. Hostesses for the afternoon were'jj Mesdames Gordon and Sinclair. Mrs; J. G. Murray officiated a? pianist.
