ELECTION NIGHT DANCE A large and enthusiastic band of: dancers enjoyed a happy evening in the Lyric Hall on Saturday night at the dance organised by the members of the Bebekali Lodge. The function proved a fitting climax to- the excitement enjoyed during the day' in anticipation of the election re&ults. A wireless had been installed in the ante-room and, between dances, the M.C-, Mr. Stavely, announced progress results which were met with great enthusiasm. The members of the Electrotone Orchestra were in excellent form and gave of their best in a well-chosen programme of popular dances. Streamers and confetti were distributed during the evening and as usual added to the gaiety. A novelty dance was won by Mrs. Day and Mr. G. Appleton. DANCE AT WOODLANDS The "Woodlands Anniversary Dance, held last week met with the usual popularity of functions arranged by this energetic committee, and, on this special occasion of the anniversary of the opening of their hall there was a large attendance of enthusiastic dancers. The popular Electrotone Orchestra was in attendance, the excellent programme of dance numbers they played greatly adding to the success of the evening. A tap dance contributed by Miss M. .Harrison met with enthusiastic applause and novelty dances were won -.by Miss X- Hollard and Air. Hooper fund-Miss M. Rangi and Air. J.
