All kinds of articles may be sent by inland packet post, but only bona fide trade patterns and samples without saleable value are admitted in the overseas .sample packet post. r l o certain countries other small articles may he sent either by letter-post- or by “small packet” post, but if a. duti-' aide article is sent in a letter to a country which prohibits the entry ol customs articles in letters or if a. “small packet” is sent to a country which is not a party to the “small packet” service, the article, instead of reaching the addressee, may he sent hack to the Dominion for return, wherever possible, to tin* sender. The parcel-post- provides the only channel for forwarding dutiable articles by post to some countries; the parcel-post, therefore, will usually be found the most satisfactory means of sending to all countries articles exceeding 211) in weight.
