POINT-TO-POINT AND HUNTERS’ TRIALS \ ; SUCCESSFUL M EF.TIN G There was a large attendanee at the Opotiki Hunt Club’s Point-to-Poiut and Hunters’ Trials held at Messrs JXoi.ci Bros.’ property, Tablelands. Tlie weather was pine and conditions were favourable. One of the. outstanding events of the day was the Farmers’ Steeplechase where exceptionally large entries were received and exciting finishes resultedThe chief results up to the time of going to press were:— BLINDING COMPETITION.— Toddy Kelly on Half a Dollar 1, Erie Looney 2. The large number of entries necessitated this race being run in two divisions, with a trophy for each division. There were great finishes in both divisions. First Division: S. I).
