Vocal items, which were much appreciated wore given by .Miss hlcanor Murray (solo). Mosdames Duff and Steen- (duct). Alls 1.. Sinclair (solo). Bishop Bennett is president of the Alliance for this year. Aliss Applehy specially emphasised her care and concern for children and l referred to their sufferings. She had seen them in mental asylums and in hospitals, victim- of a terrible disease' passed on by parents. “‘•What a , heritage,” she said. Continuing, she urged all present do realise their responsibility on polling day and to think of these who are suffering. .Mrs Gordon thanked Airs Appleby for her splendid address. Hostesses for tin* afternoon were tin l Mesdanies .Murray.
