Officials said four white convicts were involved.

Following a radio broadcast of the Lotiis-Sehmcling world heavyweight contest; Armando Ramos, a .Mexican, was killed. He was in a group who had been listening to the light, and after Schmeling had been knocked out he berated Louis in a loud voice. A man behind Ramos thereupon stunned him to death and escaped in the ensuing confusion. .
