McGougan, and daughter, of Galatea, were visitors to Opotiki yesterday en route to Iliiatoria where they will spend a holiday. DANCE IN LYRIC HALL % MANCHESTER UNITY LODGE FUNCTION The dance organised by the members of the Manchester Unity Lodge and held in the Lyric Hall on "Wednesday night, proved to be a jolly junction. The hall was attractively Uirranged with multi-coloured streamers and greenery. Dancers wore very appreciative of the excellent programme of music supplied by the Kit Knt Orchestra, Mr J. Henry playing a. popular extra. Novelty dances were won by Mrs iv. Alassey and partner and 31 iss B- Crappe and partner. A pai ticularly tasty, supper was served during which M'r Rov Rarkes was announced as the winner of a competition. ' Mr Tim Hodman carried out the duties of 31. C. in bis wsual efficient manner.
