PRE-MARRIAGE SOCIAL MISS N. CLARK and MR G. FOX In view of their approaching marriage iuiss Norma CiarK -and Mr G. Fox wore toe guests of honour at a happy uance lieiu in the "Woodlands Hall on Monday evening. There was a good attendance, and dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra, extras being played by Miss x). Young and Miss K. Jephson. Mr Matthews carried out the duties of 31. C. in an efficient manner. Novelty dances were won by Miss J>. Young and partner and Miss L. Abbot and partner. A dainty supper was served by the ladies after which, Mr Carr, of Auckland, on behalf of those present, called upon the guests of honour to accept a handsome chiming clock which was accompanied by the good wishes of their many friends for their future happiness and success. 31 r G. Fox responded, thanking those present for the handsome and useful gift. A charming gesture wa a the presentation to Miss Clark by Miss A. Jeffery of a dainty bouquet of mauve blooms which was fashioned in the shape of a horseshoe. All joined in singing “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows’’ and dancing was resumed.
