RETURNED SOLDIERS’ DANCE

HELD AT WOODLANDS

Ladies of the district were the guests of Returned Soldiers at a very jolly dance held in the Woodlands Hall on Friday night. Bowls of wattle and spring flowers decorated the •stage while the hall was bright with colourful streamers. An excellent programme of music was supplied hy the new Eleetrotoiic Orchestra, who presented a trim appearance in their smart uniforms of black and white. Encore numbers were obligingly given, the dancers being very appreciative. 1 Evidence of their appreciation was given by the hearty response to 31 1 .Morris’ call for three cheers for the orchestra. Two popular extras were played by Mr K. do Montalk, 31 r 0. Morris ably carried out the duties of M.C. Mrs C. Morris and Mr 0. Wilson were the successful dancers in a Monte Carlo waltz. The ladies of Woodlands served a very dainty supper and dancing was resumed. Among those present were:—
