CLEARING SALE f The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows : We had a very large attendance of buyers at the clearing sale conducted on Friday on account of Mr P. J. Power, who has disposed of his property. The herd contained some very nice cows and heifers and competition was good throughout the sale. Implements were not a very good lot. We report a total clearance and report that demand is still excellent for quality cows close to profit. Prices realised were: Quality Jersey cows close to calving, £lO 10s to £l2. September calvers, £8 to £10; latersorts, £4 10s to £7 os; good Jersey in-calf heifers, £8 to £lO os; backward heifers, £0 Ids to £7 os; yearling Jersey, heifers, small, £'3 -3s; 1 3-vear herd bull, £8; 1 yearling Jersey Bull, £5 ds. Horses: d-year, half draught gelding, all work, bar shafts, £27; aged mare £d 10s; school pony, foal, £4. Sow, close to farrowing, £0 10s.
