sale of dairy cattle

Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held a sale of dairy heifers at the Opotiki saleyards on Tuesday the 19th. instant when 100 choice Gisborne cattle were offered. Anv heifers springing and in lorward condition sold well at prices comparable to late rates. Ibe top price paid was £lO 5s for a particularly good marked heifer, the potchaser being Air W. Smcdley. Whakatane. The principal purchasers were Air Raymond Bead of Kutarere, Air W. Smcdley. Air W. J. Connor and Air D. Rae. The average price realised for the cattle sold was £8 9s 4d per head.
