(Contributed.) .-AmV,. There was a good attendance' at the monthly meeting on Thursday. Mi's Kirkpatrick Jed the devotions. It was decided to postpone the monthly meeting of the Band of Hope until August 18, on account of the measles epidemic. A practical work is being carried but in connection with the Maori boys; a. free tea being given at the Mission Hall after football on Saturdays. A scheme has been launched *bo build a bathroom and showers. Several kind friends have volunteered free work. A concert and “Bring and Buy” is to be held next month to raise funds. Sister -Morgan gave a most interesting talk on her trip abroad, mentioning different fine personalities on the boat, with a back-ground of tragedy caused through strong drink. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. The hostesses were Mesdames Hampton and J. Gordon.
