A Baby Whale. Hr Joe i’ranto. owner of the whaling station at Whekenui Bay, Tory Channel, who states that 53 whales have already been caught this season,, reports the capture of a 9C-ton sperm, whale. Another big whale was a cow whale, which, on being cut up. was. found to contain a baby whale perfectly formed in every detail, hut. only 4£in. long. In contrast to its parents vast magnitude, it- weighed only two ounces. It has beeji preserved in methylated spirit and willbo added to Mr Perano’s interesting, collection. The Weather.
