gardening circle ■ The monthly meeting of the Gardening Circle oi the AA'.O.i* .1. . was lield at tue residence of Airs Fox last week. Airs hex presided over a gootl attendance of members. Alter the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting, there was a discussion on the cultivation of dowers and plants: An original competition, arranged by Airs hex, was won by Airs, Maxwell. A dainty afternoon tea was served after which members wandered about the garden, and -Mrs Fox kindly distributed cuttings oi plants and dow-
ers. A competition for the best dower was won by. Mrs -McGregor with Air’s rex second. Tt was announced that, as a result of a recent enjoyable garden party held at the residence of Airs George * Shalfoon, the gardening circle funds would benefit’ by over £‘S. The next meeting will be held at Airs Keg. Walker’s residence. A vote of thanks to Airs Fox brought the afternoon ,to a close’. \ . "
