WEDDING

KELLY—WALLACE v At St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Khyber Pass, Auckland', a wedding or loeul interest was celebrated 011 Saturday, July 9th., at 7 p.m., when Alma Betty, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs T. C. S. Wallace, Kgaromii Bead, Epsom, Auckland, was muted m the holy bonds of matrimony to Alfred lanes (Honey) Kelly, of To Puke, fourth son of Mrs and the late Mr E. M. Kelly, of Opotiki. ,

The church was decorated with arum lilies, irises and other blooms in shades of cyclamen.

The ceremony, was, performed by the Rev. AY. Bower Black. Alias Mbrlyn Morris officiated at the organ, and Aliss Beth Carriek was the soloisr. The bride entered the church with her father, looking particularly winsome in a graceful gown of magnolia ring velvet. The bodice was gathered from the* waist, eoptinuing up to form a high neckline, where a string of beautiful pearls was worn. The long sleeves were similarly gathered at the top and formed a square shoulder line. The skirt was cut on -modish lines, a, swathed effect which formed the waist line continu’d to the hack, falling in, classical lines and forming a long oval train faced with ruckled silk. A magnolia tulle veil, arranged from a. top knot of orange blossoms, was worn over the lace, falling gracefully and billowing ovei the train of the frock. A trailing sheaf of deep cream camellias and maiden hair fern, was carried, completing a picturesque toilette.

In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Alary Wallace, sister of the bride. Aliss Gwcnu Gribhle and Miss Marjorie Greer, who were- frocks ol cyciamcn moire I raneai.se, similarly fashioned on graceful lines, the bodice being shirred into a brassiere top, low neckline with scalloped collar, large pull; sleeves, and very full skirts from the waist, finishing jn a short train. Deeper shades of velvet flowers were in clusters around the lower part of the skirt, and also formed the base of the bodice in front, continuing in a belt effect to the hack. Top knots of two-tone velvet flowers in the, same shading were worn in the hair, their shower bouquets being composed of roses, carnations, and violets to tone with the frocks. Tin* bridegroom was attended by Air Keith Dunlop as best man, Messrs. F. la‘ Waugh and J\ S. Kelly acting as groomsmen.

The ushers at the, eliurch were Messrs. B. Middle and YY. Tanner.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs .J. M.. Lnxon, “Uakihann”, Market Timid, I'ipsom. Mrs Wallace, the* bride’s mother, receiving her guests in a. charming truck of wine coloured Ottoman silk, brown fur cape and smart brown hat to complete the ensemble. Her bouquet was in Autumn tints.

Mrs J. (Jordon Spencer, the bridegroom’s sister, who attended in the absence of his mother, was trucked in black channelise, musquash hir con I] and smart black hat. She carried •i bouquet of violets and asparagus fern.

The happy couple later left by ear for their honeymoon tour, -Mrs Kelly wearing a bottle green Viennese knit frock, a tailored coat of London tan, with smart collar and bolero effect in fur, chic model hat in brown felt, with accessories to match.
