OPOTIKI ORPHANS’ VISIT

Applause greeted the announcement that for the eighth successive year alt members had paid their subscriptions by June 80. He reported that the delegates from the club had been present at the conference of the Kindred Clubs’ Association and preliminary arrangements had been made tor a jubilee korero to mark the twentyfifth year of the existence of the club. The chairman for the evening was Savage Father Forsman. and with him on the dais sat the, president of the Opotiki Club, Orphan A. G. Stevenson. A feature of the entertainment was the broadcast metlipd of presenting the second portion of the programme, the novelty of which was greatly/' preeiated by the audience. It was presented in the form of a “Search For Talent” and Savage AAhll B. Keany was the announcer. Two songs, “Song Down Eveiy Roadway” and “Goodbye”,, wore given by, Orphan Stevenson and Orphans McDougall and F. AA’riglcy took part in the broadcast “Search For Talent”.

A most enjoyable time was spent by the Opotiki Orphans.
