The Opotiki team for Matawai will leave the library corner to-morrow at noon, sharp. Mt Cyril Newtli has been appointed manager for the trip. Slip Cleared. The big slip on the Waiocka road near Mr Trafford’s has been entirely cleared away. ' The Waiocka road is reported to be fairly muddy as a result of the recent rains. Bobby Calf Collection. Attention is drawn to an alteration in tiie days of collecting bobby calves. The collecting dates are Mondays and Thursdays, not Mondays and Wednesdays as prevously advertised. Otara School. At the County Council meeting today, Cr Black said that the Education Board’s architect had been in Opotiki and was returning to Auckland to recommend the closing of the Otara School. It is understood that there is every, prospect of the school coining under the consolidation scheme. Ncnw High School. A visit by the Education Board’s architect to the Opotiki district was made last Wednesday, when particulars of the new high school construction were gone into. The question of additional rooms in the primary department were also considered. IWotu Rep. Team.
