BURIAL IN WRONG NAME
SHOOK FOR POLICEMAN • MEETS “DIiVD” MAN , .BRISBANE. June 1-—Six people, among them several police officers, identihecl a- body found in an Innist'aii street yesterday as that of John Edward Cummihg, and as such it was buried in the afternoon, after a postmortem examination was held. Constable H. Ziegenfusz, therefore, got a shock this morning when he saw On mining walking along Edith street, Innist'aii.
Camming accompanied the constable to the police station, where lie established his identity.
The dead man greatly resembled Camming. He collapsed and died in Edith' street. Police went to the scene, and two of them who had known Camming fairly well decided that the dead man was Gumming. Other residents, one of whom had known Camming for It) years, also agreed. Cummiug’s parents were advised, and other formalities observed. Inquiries to-day showed that the hoily was that of John Hamilton, who had been residing in a shelter shed for unemployed.
