SPECIAL DAIRY SALE HELD BY D/ALGETY AND CO. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held a very successful special dairy sale at the Opotiki saloyards yesterday, when a very good yarding came forward, comprising two* complete herds which were purchased at very satis!actory figures by a huge attendance of buyers. The top price lor the day was Cl 3 OS for a good type of Jersey cow due to calve early. Other prices were Til >. to- £l2 10s for good early calving sorts j£9 to. £lo.los for others; latei ''cows. £7 to £S 10s; backward and.inferior £4 15s to £5 ss. Some very choice lines of heifers were offered but competition was not keen although one line was passed in at £7
