OBITUARY

MR. CLEMENT C. SCOTT The death occurred suddenly at Auckland yesterday of Al i - Clement C. Scott, whft was well known in the Opotiki district. For many years Mr Scott was one.of the directors oi the firm of Messrs W. B. Scott and Sons Opotiki. For a period the deceased was acting-editor of the East Coast Guardian. Deceased left Opotiki some considerable time ago, and in partnership with Ins brother, Mr G. Scott, established a very successful printing business in Auckland. Deceased was well-known in Opotiki music circles and was in great demand for concerts as a bass singer. He was also a very prominent member of the Opotiki and Alt. Eden Methodist churches and while in Opotiki was choir-master for a number of years. He leaves a widow and three children.
