MEET AT PAERATA, RIDGE'

Members of the Opotiki Hunt Club enjoyed the first hunt to be held on the Paerata. Ridge properties on Wednesday. There was a good following and" although rain threatened a splendid day’s sport was ,■enjoyed in good weather. The hounds cast off on the property of Mr A. Talbot, through Mr R. S. Jeffery’s, Mr W. A'. Scott’s and to blr W. J. Thompson’s, jvliere afternoon tea was, .served by the ladies’ committee in delightful surroundings.
