POLITICAL

VISIT BY CAPT. W. J. LYON BAY -MEMBER 70 ACCOMPANY Captain W. J. Lyon will visit the Bay of Plenty electorate during the latter part of June, and during this period will be accompanied, by the member for the district, Mr A. G. Hultquist. A meeting of ladies will be held in the. Parish Hall on the 23rd. Capt. Lyon will leave for Wliakatane next day and will hold a ladies’ meeting at Kutarere. Whakatane and Taneatua will be visited and then the party will return to this district, holding a ladies’ meeting at Wairata school on the Saturday. Meetings have also been aranged for Matawai and Te Karaka on the same day. On Sunday, a combined meeting of Labour Party Branch members will be held at the Kaiteratalii hall. The party will stay overnight in Gisborne. On Monday, 27th., a combined meeting of ladies of Ormond, Kaitera--talii, Hexton, Alakaiiri, and AYaerenga-a-liika will be held, at Ormond. In the afternoon and evening meetings will be held at Tolaga. Bay and Tokomaru Bay. On Tuesday, 28tli. meetings will be held at AVaipiro Bay. Alanutalii Hotel. Ituatoria and Te Araroa. After staying overnight at Te Araroa, the party will return to Gisborne and address a meeting at the AtakarakaMatawhero hall. The party will leave for AA’ellington on the following day by plane and train for AVellington.
