th£ annual meeting ALL APPLICATIONS’ APPROVED The annual meeting of the Licensing Committee for the Bay of District was held at the OyAtiki Courthouse on Tuesday. Present: Mr. E. L. Walton >S3I. (chairman) and M essrs. A. Young, G, S. Moody, A. Nicol, M v Doyle, R. F. Jackson. The minutes of the previous annual meeting and of the adjourned annual meeting were read and approved. All the applications dealt- with were approved, in some cases on condition that requisitions are attended to. “In the case of the Kaiterataiii Hotel, Inspector J. Edwards of , Gisborne stated that borer-infected timbers should be replaced. The proprietor did not want to give an undertaking that he would replace this timber as he did not know how much work would be involved until a re survey could be taken. It was possible a new building might he required. The proprietor was granted . 12 months in which to reconsider the position. In the case of. a few hotels the regulations regarding the installation of firealarnis had not been complied with.A warning that bis license may be endorsed was issued to the proprietor of the Royal Hotel.
