MAORI FARM TROPHY
REPORT OF JUDGES OUTSTANDING MERIT The joint winners of the Alniwlienua Trophy, donated by Lord R led is 100 for' annual competition among Maori farmers for the best methods ol tanning, were to have been presented’ by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, with the trophy, in Wairon on May 28, on the occasion of the Carroll Memorial celebrations, but in view of the" postponement of the gathering the trophy presentation is also delayed. The report of the judges points to the splendid results of the winners, and expresses the hope that an example will be given to the rest of the Maori people. The joint winners were Mr J. Black, Ruatoki North, and Mr Whare pa roa. Rewharewha, Tore re. “The farms of Whareparoa Rcwlmrewha and Jack Black, the judges’ report states, “are of outstanding merit so far as this competition is concerned, and their work would do credit to many leading European farmers.
