OPOTIKI RUGBY UNION COMMITTEE MEETING The weekly meeting of the committee of the Opotiki Rugby Union was held in the Loan Coy.’s office on -Monday night. Present : Messrs G. Wood (chairman), J. Parkinson, C. Howard, 13. Black, T, Hickey. T. Black, 31. Delamere, -V. Short- and F. Chapman (secretary). A report of the special general meeting of the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union held at 31atata was received, 31 r Short being complimented on the manner in which he had attended to the interests of the Opotiki Union. It was decided to approach the 31:otu Union in order to arrange a representative match, 3lotu v. Opotiki, for Saturday (to-morrow). it was decided to make arrangements for a lecture on Rugby rules to he given by Mr E. \3 . Seville on Friday niglit. An executive committee consisting of 3lessrs Wood, Short and Chapman was appointed to attend to urgent matters. The -- junior draw for Saturday resulted: 0.31. P. v. High School. Waioeka v. Torero. Ttt Huia a bye. Permission for the P.W.D. seniors to travel tc( Tauranga on. the King’s Birthday to play a match against Tauranga P.W.D. team was granted. It was decided to grant admission to basketball-players wearing uniform, for sixpence.

CITY THIRD GRADE The first meeting of the City. Third G rade Football, Onb was held in the Drill Hall on Thursday night.. Mr TV: Burrett, the team’s managei-, acted as chairman.
