WAIMANA NEWS TENNIS DANCE The dance held under the auspices of the Waimana Tennis Club last Thursday evening in the Waimana Hall was quite a success.
The novelty dances proved popular, the paper hats anil streamers causing much merriment. The Kit lvat’ Orchestra. supplied.-the music for dancing and Mr A. Ward law and Miss M. Wardlaw kindly obliged with extras. The duties ot 31. C. were most capably carried out by Mr A. Wardlaw, and Air Morton was doorkeeper.
The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Alias Trotter and partner. Lucky paper hats were won by Mrs Al. King and Air Lyons. .After a dainty supper had been served, MV T. X\ . WardJaw, president of the Tennis Club, thanked all who helped to make the evening the success it was, and many thanks to those members who forwarded donations. Air Wardlaw also presented trophies won during the tennis season. A box of chocolates for competition was won by Miss Al. Doran. Dancing continued till a late hour. Among those present were: —
