U.S.A. IRON SUPPLY

MAIN SUPPLIES LIMITED NEW YORK. March 11.—Thirtylive years is the limit of the present main iron ore supply of the United States as described to the American institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers.

This supply is the reserves 'of the Lake Superior district, which furnishes So per cent, of the country’s present iron. After the Lake Superior '.supply, is gone, it is predicted that the country will still have iron, but at a higher cost. The figures were given at a symposium of the institute’s steel division by Carl Zapife, of Brainevd, Minn.
