W.D.F.U. MONTHLY MEETING
COMPETITION WINNERS There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting ot the W.D.F.U. held in the Parish Hall last week. Mrs Martin presided. The meeting opened with tho recital of the Creed after which the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Tho committee was added to with airs Hollard, Mrs Webb, Mrs Joblin, Mrs Hodgson, Miss K. Lambert, Miss M. Beckett and Miss P. Joblin. Several new members were proposed. The programme for next month was setup. The competition for pikelets was won by Mrs Maxwell with Mrs Martin second, while Mrs Martin was successful in the competition for the best bloom, with Mrs Maxwell second. Mrs Burgess offered to organise a card evening to raise funds to replenish the crockery belonging toDivision. Her kindly offer was accepted. Afternoon tea "wh by the hostesses, Mrs A. jVeat and Mrs Webb, toi whom a vote ot thanks •passed at the conclusion of the ing. ■
