Juniors also succeeded in winning the Junior Championship. lAlthough riot winning the Hurinui Apanui Shield the team did very well against their more seasoned opponents. *

The senior representatives-, won their zone final for" the Parata Cup, but owing to, the lateness .of the final against Tauraiiga were unable to field a'ttjam to travel to Tauranga.

The junior representatives withstood' a challenge for the Shalloon Shield against Whakatane, but lost to Rotorua by 13 to 11, after a very hard arid 'exciting match,, and your committee w;isli to congratulate the juniors on their splendid showing.

Your committee wish toi extend eonj gratulations to the Rangitaiki Union on winning the Hurinui Apanui Shield again and to the Rotorua Union on winning the Shalfooii Shield. Congratulations are to bej extended to Messrs Poiiiipi and Jones on their attaining Ray of Plenty representative honours. The thanks of your committee aredue to Mr. G. S. Moody for his very generous donation of a set of jerseys for t-lie representatives. During v the season an insurance scheme wa s inaugurated and it is to be hoped that every Club will participate in the scheme so as to build; a fund for injured players" i
